I had worked for the government their kind of like civilian jobs except way better and job security is better as well as flexible hours etc.. It's pretty nice I'd advocate people to get a government job as from my experience it's with less stress more pay and great benefits, chances for promotion are high and faster, who can argue with that. It's not about the quality of the work but how long a person has worked there and who they know as to ones progression in promotions although if your really good as far as quality of your work you will get promoted faster in a government job but that's not the main factor for promotion with government jobs

Civilian world it's a bit more difficult and in the end it's about the quality of a persons work and being able to get the job done which I more value and respect. Civilian companies are in a different mind set from government companies. Civilian companies want quality, government companies want the job done and government companies are willing to blow massive amount of money to higher people, companies or whatever to get the job done at any price.
