Agreed. Like Norway. Health care is completely paid for by the government.

Compensate how though?

Full-scale nationalization of health insurance companies.

The far righters can suck my dick. Free market principles are incompatible with the provision of health care.

Health care isn't all I would nationalize. I also think oil/coal companies, airlines, and professional sports franchises should be nationalized and run as public utilities.

OMG! FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTAND THIS!

EDIT: SOMEONE

Now to campaign against Naturopathy in order to keep it off primary care.

Really? Why all those too?

>> professional sports franchises

I've never considered that one, never thought of it, but man it'd make some revenue. I do consider health, energy, steel/iron/metal et al, and water.

So, would doctors be effectively government employed? (avoiding "agents")

You can have private hospitals with a single government insurance "company," sort of like France. But you'd need price ceilings and some serious oversight.

Which would be a bit complicated.

There'd have to be agencies monitoring each aspect of this hypothetical health care system.

And ass rape the FDA and redesign it as well.
