I really used to think this man was great...now I shake my head. Granted dumber things have been said, but that's a bit naive.

And I used to think the same of Mike Gravel.

His personality just caught me. I honestly couldn't tell you why. Maybe because he was aggressive, but not in the extremely conservative stance. I was fairly naive politically at that point in time.

I blame myself for letting YouTube videos of him suck me in.

I always thought that Ron Paul came off as "a guy who knows all the answers", that he has has the secret knowledge that no one else has. His logic from what I've seen is to revert back everything to the old days. That's why the guy always comes off as a kook to me.

What would be the point of opting out of america. Seriously think about it. So you pay 10% of what you earn to opt out of america which I imagine would be taxes but you'll have to work to get that money in america or the very system your opting out of. How can you opt out of america if you still have to work in it? If you opt out you also opt out of the benefits of what our government has.

How is Ron Pauls idea of opting out of america going to help out a person who may actually opt out. This is poorly thought out and yet another kooky idea from Ron Paul.

Ron Paul is such a kook with his ideas of "reverting". Our government is a self correcting government whatever is wrong will be corrected and in time change. Why would you want to revert? I may not agree with how the U.S. is ran or how things could be done better, I think it's only natural for me since it's in my nature to improve but really the U.S. is the best country in the world and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. If you don't like the U.S. then move and find out what it's like to live in another country. If you don't like that country you got three options move to the North Pole, move to the South Pole, or go into outer space and live in Douglas Mallete's moonbase.

Wow Bill I'm impressed. That's the most erudite and coherent thing I've ever seen you post here. Kudos!

I like the fact that I gave these people three options, usually a person would say "you don't like this country, then get out.". I was trying to be kind.
