Fox News, as part of their extensive coverage of the Juan Williams controversy, today lamented that "so much of this debate has excluded the opinion of the Muslim community" before turning to a Muslim --who publicly accuses 80 percent of American mosques of being radical and anti-American -- to respond.

M. Zuhdi Jasser, a Muslim physician who advocates the de-politicization of Islam, said he wasn't offended by Williams' remarks that he gets nervous whenever he sees Muslims on a plane. NPR fired Williams for the comment and Fox News immediately hired him to a $2 million contract, touching off a debate over whether what Williams said is bigoted and therefore a fireable offense.

Jasser is also among those who believe that some 80 percent of mosques in the U.S. are radicalized and part of a Muslim Brotherhood-like effort to impose Sharia, or Islamic law, in the United States. He was the narrator for the Clarion Fund's movie "The Third Jihad" and has a role in Newt Gingrich's film "America At Risk," both movies that interpose images of terrorists and threatening music in order to warn of the threat of Islam itself to American law and culture.

Jasser has told TPMmuckraker that his belief in the threat of Sharia started in college, when he attended prayer services at a mosque and was, he says, appalled to find the imam discussing politics during services.

Reminds me of a 1950s propaganda film I just saw "Red Nightmare." Good stuff!
