That is correct, sir.

Going by political compass, I am deep south, and a few blocks left of center.

I've never been into the whole Ayn Rand side. From what I understand, she was quite a loon.

Because in America you get two choices. You can vote Democratic or you can vote Republican. That's it. Those are your choices.

You can throw your vote away on a third party candidate if you want, but it won't do a damn thing.

This is reality.

He's right, like I mentioned before, I typically throw away my vote for president by voting for a third party, but when it comes to other national and local positions, I vote based on two things 1) what they've done before, 2) what they're saying they're going to do. I ignore issues like abortion, gay marriage, and drug legalization, because they take away from other issues.

I'd say that 85% of the time I vote Democratic, 15% of the time Republicans.

That may be more or less true for things in the national arena, but other than that it isn't true. Republicans will often let businesses exploit the hell out of local communities, then move on to other communities and fuck them up too.

The difference is that one wants this country to go back to the 1950's, and the other wants it to be the San Angeles society from Demolition Man.
