These numbers are based on several things. For countries they are based on the lowest GDP between the IMF, World Bank, and CIA World Fact book's data. As per the businesses, these are primarily from the company's public record for revenue. The reason I used the lowest GDP is was to give John Perkins the benefit of the doubt.
