Romney is the Republican Dukakis. He may well get the nomination, but he'll go down to a fiery defeat every bit as humiliating as Dukakis's.

I'd love to see Obama wipe the floor with Lipstick Bulldog, but I don't think that's going to happen. I rather hope Romney does get the nod, because chances will be greater that the Tea Party will split off from the Republicans and run their own candidate. That would mean an even greater victory for Obama, at least in terms of electoral votes.

Interesting. I actually agree with both Matt and Muertos here. Johnson would probably be the only GOP candidate I would consider.

And Romney is probably their most serious contender.

That being said, Romney will get obliterated by Obama if it ends up being them 2. And if that happens, I'll be a happy camper. Couldn't stand Romney when he was the Gov of my state, and still can't stand him now.
